The Basic Facial is the foundation of every visit. The appointment begins with a double cleanse and an assessment of your skin under magnification, so that the exfoliation, extractions, mask and hydration that follow are chosen for your skin as it is on the day rather than from a fixed routine.
Extractions and deep pore cleansing are Dr. Kerri's signature work. Where the assessment shows congestion, clogged pores or blackheads, they are cleared carefully and strategically, one area at a time, with a meticulous technique intended to leave the skin calm rather than reddened. Nothing is forced, and nothing is extracted that should be left alone.
The facial closes with a mask selected for your skin type, a hydrating finish and sun protection. As a pharmacist with more than 22 years in skincare and customized topical formulations, Dr. Kerri also uses this appointment to explain what she sees and to suggest how a home routine might support it.

Aftercare
Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and keep the skin simple for the next few days: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer and SPF. Set aside retinoids, scrubs and exfoliating acids for at least 48 to 72 hours, and do not pick or squeeze anywhere extractions were performed. Slight pinkness in those areas is expected and typically settles within a day.

What happens during a Basic Facial?
A double cleanse, an assessment under magnification, exfoliation suited to your skin, extractions where appropriate, a mask, hydration and sun protection. Each step is selected after the assessment, so two clients booked for the same facial rarely receive the same sequence of products.
Will extractions be included?
Extractions are performed wherever the assessment shows congestion that can be cleared safely. If your skin is irritated or reactive on the day, Dr. Kerri may limit or postpone them; the decision is always made with the long-term health of your skin in mind.
How often do clients return?
Many clients return every four to six weeks, which follows the skin's own renewal cycle. The right interval depends on your skin and your goals, and Dr. Kerri advises each client individually at the end of the appointment.
Is the Basic Facial suitable for sensitive skin?
Usually, because every product and step is chosen after the assessment. Please mention any sensitivity, recent reactions or products you are currently using so the facial can be adjusted for your skin.
